About MeiMei

Why we made it

Most baby monitors want you to buy a camera, create an account and send your nights to a cloud. We wanted something simpler: a monitor made from phones families already have, that keeps the home private and treats safety as something you never pay for.

What we hold to

• Safety is never sold: every alert and the placement check are free.
• Local first: on home Wi-Fi, video and sound never leave the house.
• No analytics, no ads, no trackers, in the apps or on this website.
• Observations, never judgements: we describe what we see and hear, and never name a condition.
• Plain words in every language, for parents at 3 a.m.
